There are so many evenings that I sit on the couch to knit or crochet while unwinding in front of a television show with my husband. I would love to sit closer to him but it is more often than not that the couch and ottoman are covered with my project accessories. Sound familiar? Perhaps one of these days I will make this knit Armchair Caddy from the free pattern provided by Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores.

Stumbles & Stitches blog has some very dainty felt ornament ideas with FREE PDF patterns. There are many shapes and designs to choose from! If you need to simplify, just use the outer shape of the ornaments it would make a wonderful weekend-before-Christmas project as a family!

A client hired me to make three Christmas stockings for herself, her fiance, and her dog. Here is the FREE pattern I used from Yarnspirations. Instead of cross stitching, I used the chart and colour-worked the images as I crocheted. I also found a chart for letters and added them to the top of the stocking.
