Crochet Pumpkin Hat Pattern

Fall is in the air. The leaves are turning and the air is crisp. What better time to make up a quick crochet pumpkin hat or two? Perfect for trips to the apple orchard, pumpkin farm, fall fairs, or even as a Halloween costume.

You can feel it in the air – the crisp, dampness as it touches your skin and fills your lungs.

Your eyes are filled with Autumn’s majestic beauty as the brightly coloured leaves spatter on the trees and grass.

Seems to me there is no better time to crochet a quick pumpkin hat or two!

Pumpkin beanies are the essential accessory to accompany you to the pumpkin farm, apple orchard, and fall fairs. They even double as a Halloween costume.

This beanie comes in three sizes to fit toddler, child, and tween ages.

I used Impeccable yarn by Loops & Threads in Pumpkin and Forest colours and a 4.5mm crochet hook. Any worsted weight 4 will work.

Don’t Crochet?

No problem! There are a limited number of crochet pumpkin beanie hats as part of the Gobble ‘Til You Wobble Thanksgiving Collection available in the shop.

Include “I Made A Pumpkin!” in the subject plus your name as you’d like it to be credited, your social media handles so I can tag you where appropriate, and a little bit about who you made it for and why.

After all, making is for sharing – it’s no fun if you can’t show what you made!

I hope you enjoy this free crochet pumpkin hat pattern.

Until next time, may the yarn be with you.

Scrap Jar Star Quilt Tutorial

I am starting to get quite a lot of scraps from my quilt and sewing projects. What to do with them? Make a scrap quilt. Sometimes I find scrap quilts are “messy” looking. This Scrap Jar Star quilt from Gigi’s Thimble is stunning and doesn’t look very scrappy at all. Visit her blog for a FREE tutorial on creating this lovely piece of art (and scrap eater!!).
