My 8 year old daughter has recently decided she wants to learn to sew. Wouldn’t it be fun to have her decorate the mini Christmas tree in her room with ornaments she has made by herself? Check out Lou Lou Girls for 12 DIY ornament ideas you can make to celebrate the season. I would love for you to share in the comments below Christmas ornaments or crafts you have made yourself to decorate your home! Happy crafting!
Santa and Mrs Claus, two very recognizable figures associated with Christmas. I like these traditional interpretations of them on this wall or door hanging. It will definitely fill the room and make it feel merry! My Etsy shop has a host of Christmas items like this one if you are searching for the perfect gift or item to spruce up your home this holiday.
As promised, today I am showing another item I made for the Christmas season – a tree skirt in the Snowman theme! When I did the craft shows earlier this month, I was intrigued that several people approached me asking for anything “snowman” as they collected them. I did have one quilted version of this but then decided to try a few unquilted just for fun. I like the traditional circular shape of these. Visit my Etsy shop to see if they are still available!
Every year we purchase a live Christmas tree. I love the scent but I’m not one to actually decorate it. I leave that to hubby and the kids. I sure do enjoy the finished product though! Here is an alternative to an actual tree from Noting Grace’s blog – it’s a budget friendly idea to use a ladder and wrap garland around it and then decorate that. This would be so great to put in a space where you don’t have room for an actual tree but for where it would be nice to have a tall decoration. Admit it,
