It’s getting closer to Christmas day. I am so wanting to make some simple and sweet desserts. These just may do the trick!

Don’t forget about your neighbours this Christmas! I Heart Naptime has come up with 50 Neighbor Gift Ideas. What do you do to celebrate the holidays with your neighbours?
I had a custom order from a client to make a Wonder Woman crochet hat. She sent me a few photographs and I meshed the ideas together. This is what I came up with. I think the pom poms are my favourite part!
My second giveaway item at the end of November (also an Elsa hat) was a hit with my 8-year-old daughter. She so wanted the one that I gave away so I promised that I would make her one also. She wanted to edit it a little bit so I added a big blue snowflake. The placement of it on top of the tiara was all her idea and I must say I like how it looks. If you want to make your own, check out the FREE PATTERN on Repeat Crafter Me’s blog here. I’m sharing this post on these
I have always wanted to make my own snow globes. This may be the year thanks to High Heels and Training Wheels’s tutorial! We definitely have a huge supply of empty glass jars to use up also. Check out the supply list and tell me if you will join me in making (at least) one. Please share if you do!
Marsala has been chosen for the colour of 2015. Interested in using it in your home? Check out Houzz’s ideas here. I personally prefer it either in natural light or a slightly darker hue. I think I prefer the crafting option for using it. Here, The Inspired Wren looks at some sewing examples with the colour. There are definitely a lot of options to have it as a focal point (e.g. a cardigan) or a highlight (e.g. flowers in a white dress). Beautiful! What do you think of Marsala? How would or will you use it?
The Santa stocking is festive and adds to the spirit of giving this holiday season. At 13″ wide and 28″ tall, you could fit a baby inside (or just lots of really cool presents).
Santa and Mrs Claus, two very recognizable figures associated with Christmas. I like these traditional interpretations of them on this wall or door hanging. It will definitely fill the room and make it feel merry! My Etsy shop has a host of Christmas items like this one if you are searching for the perfect gift or item to spruce up your home this holiday.
As promised, today I am showing another item I made for the Christmas season – a tree skirt in the Snowman theme! When I did the craft shows earlier this month, I was intrigued that several people approached me asking for anything “snowman” as they collected them. I did have one quilted version of this but then decided to try a few unquilted just for fun. I like the traditional circular shape of these. Visit my Etsy shop to see if they are still available!
Did you know there are many types of knit sweaters? They all eventually “look” like a standard sweater but the composition of each type is quite different. Read more about it on Craftsy’s blog post “Types of Knit Sweater”. If you knit, what is your preference for knitting style?
